Rebels down Antrim - Sunday, July 25, 2010
Cork booked an All-Ireland SHC semi-final date with Kilkenny this afternoon at Croke Park, where they were made earn victory against a plucky Antrim side.
Although they never trailed their opponents in this encounter, the Rebels needed a Niall McCarthy goal just before half-time to help swing the game in their favour as Antrim were well able to stay in touch with scores from Neil McManus and Liam Watson, who combined for 0-15 over the 70 minutes.
However, the timing of McCarthy's goal in the 35th minute was perfect and some late contributions from Kieran Murphy and Ben O'Connor for the men from Leeside, along with a sending-off for Watson, saw them stroll through to the last four in the end.

Cork prevail against Limerick after extra time - Saturday, July 24, 2010
Cork are in the All-Ireland quarter-finals after a 0-16 to 1-11 extra-time victory against Limerick at Páirc na nGael on Saturday night.
They had to dig deep to reach a sixth consecutive last eight however as Limerick showed great character to get themselves back into the game, but overall Cork were the better side.
The sides were level at half-time, 0-5 each, though Limerick could, and should, have had a comfortable lead by that stage. They played most of the football in the opening half, and could have had a commanding lead by the 13th minute, with Cork still scoreless.

Rebels march on - Sunday, July 18, 2010
Cork are into the last round of the qualifying series after a routine 0-12 to 0-5 win over Wexford at Wexford Park.
Daniel Goulding and Paddy Kelly were each on target twice as the Munster county led by 0-7 to 0-3 at the break. In truth, they were never really troubled at any stage in this game.
The Rebels got off to a purposeful start with three points inside the first ten minutes, to lead convincingly, but the Model men came back into it a little thereafter to remain in contention at the turnaround.

Cork 1-13 Waterford 1-16 (AET) - Sunday, July 18, 2010
Substitute Dan Shanahan flashed home the extra-time goal which drove Waterford to their ninth Munster SHC title in Thurles on Saturday.
In wet conditions, Shanahan blasted past Donal Og Cusack in the second period of extra-time to confirm the Deise's first provincial success since 2007.
Eoin Kelly, who top-scored with 0-08, missed some late chances to win tonight's replay in normal time.
Ben O'Connor's speculative goal from an angled free saw Cork fight back for a 1-11 to 0-14 stalemate, and one of their points came from a John Gardiner penalty which was deflected over.
But Waterford, helped by the introductions of Dan and Maurice Shanahan and Eoin McGrath, outlasted their great rivals in extra-time to earn the sweetest of victories in front of 22,763 spectators.

Rebels and Decies must meet again - Sunday, July 11, 2010
Tony Browne's late equalising goal earned Waterford a 2-15 apiece draw with Cork in a thrilling Munster final in Thurles.
The Rebels had one hand on the silverware after quickfire goals from Aisake O hAilpin and Ben O'Connor propelled them into a five-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter but the Decies refused to panic and Eoin Kelly's stunning goal kept them in touch before veteran campaigner Browne came off the bench to force a replay four minutes into stoppage time.
The rematch will be in Semple Stadium on Saturday.

Cork cruise past Cavan - Saturday, July 10, 2010
It was one way traffic for nearly this entire encounter at a wet Pairc Ui Chaoimh as Cork got their All-Ireland campaign back on track with an easy 18-point win over Cavan.
Cian Mackey was the Breffni men's only first half scorer as Conor Counihan's men led by 0-9 to 0-1 at the break and a 51st minute goal from Pearse O'Neill was the final of the many nails in the Ulster side's coffin.
That sole first half score came while Cavan with the assistance of the breeze.
Ciaran Sheehan got the scoring show on the road for Cork within seconds of the throw in before Paddy Kelly and Colm O'Neill added two more points and it was soon five successive points in a row as Daniel Goulding (2) was on target.

Rebels record expected win - Sunday, June 20, 2010
There were no surprises at Pairc Ui Chaoimh as Cork hammered Limerick by 2-19 to 0-12 to advance to the Munster final.
In truth, it was all too easy for the Rebels, who had a Man of the Match performance from Niall McCarthy as well as sterling stuff in the first half from Patrick Horgan, while midfielder Tommy O'Brien (0-6) and corner forward Graham Mulcahy (0-3) were among the Treaty's best performers.
Cork - who arguably held back a little bit given their opponents' off-the-field woes - made a change to the team named in midweek, with the injured Tom Kenny unable to play and Lorcan McLoughlin donning the No.22 jersey to partner Cathal Naughton in the centre of the park.

Kingdom and Rebels must meet again - Sunday, June 06, 2010
Kerry landed five late points to grab a 0-15 each draw with Cork in Killarney.
The Rebels looked home and dry as they led by 0-14 to 0-10 going into the fourth quarter but points from Tomas O Se, Colm Cooper (2), Barry John Keane and Anthony Maher against a solitary reply from Colm O'Neill forced a replay, which takes place in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday.
Cooper hit the leveller from an awkward free in stoppage time after the introduction of Paul Galvin seemed to swing the tide in Kerry's favour.
After a slow start, Cork led by 0-8 to 0-6 at half time, with five different players on target while Bryan Sheehan's four points kept Kerry in touch. Kerry roared out of the blocks with three points in nine minutes but Cork finally found their composure to rattle off four in a row and move ahead before Sheehan's second converted free tied it up on 24 minutes, 0-4 each.
