Cadogan and Canty start for Rebels - Thursday, September 16, 2010
Eoin Cadogan and Graham Canty have been named in the Cork team for Sunday's All-Ireland final against Down.

Dual star Cadogan, who only rejoined the squad following the Cork hurlers' All-Ireland semi-final loss to Kilkenny and was introduced at half-time against Dublin in place of the injured Canty, comes in at right corner back with Ray Carey switching to the opposite corner in place of John Miskella.

Canty, meanwhile, has been passed fit to lead the team out, taking his place at centre half back after recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained in the All-Ireland quarter-final win over Roscommon and which forced his withdrawal against Dublin. The Bantry Blues clubman took a full part in training on Tuesday night, having sat out an internal practice match last weekend.

Alan O'Connor and Aidan Walsh have once again been chosen in midfield, despite Nicholas Murphy's return to full fitness. Colm O'Neill, who made a huge contribution to the semi-final win over Dublin after coming off the bench, has also failed to force his way into an unchanged attack which shows a number of positional changes, however.

Ciaran Sheehan switches from full forward to right half forward with Paul Kerrigan now positioned at top of the left and Donncha O'Connor on the edge of the square.

Cork (SF v Down): A Quirke; E Cadogan, M Shields, R Carey; N O'Leary, G Canty (captain), P Kissane; A O'Connor, A Walsh; C Sheehan, P O'Neill, P Kelly, D Goulding, D O'Connor, P Kerrigan.
